Hi!

I thought that I'd post the issue here, since you haven't been on the forum for a while.

I'm developing a new C compiler for the PCE called HuCC. Well, it's actually a fork of HuC, but with a huge amount of optimizations, and a completely different basic underlying asm core and set of libraries that's a lot more flexible than the old "startup.asm" core that you had with difficulties with.

It would be great if MAPeD-SPReD could support HuCC on its release in a couple of months, but that will require a few (not many hopefully) changes in your code.

There are a number of development teams already (quietly) using HuCC for their current projects, and it's been checked-in to the pce-devel repo (and mine) for a week or so if you are willing to try it.

Thanks for helping out PCE developers with MAPeD and SPReD, and I hope that you'll be willing to continue do so with the HuCC compiler.

Best wishes,

elmer
