Difference between -t universal and -r #392
-
I am working on generating SBOM. I want to understand the difference between these two flags "-t universal" and "-r". When I used "-t universal" flag, I got around 943 components but when I used "-r" I got 538 components. Also -t universal seems to overwrite --no-babel and --required-only flags as I can see dev components as well. |

@KingHanzala -t universal includes parsing docker images etc., so it would include OS packages as well, while -r would only have application packages. Required only analysis isn't implemented for OS packages yet, so the flags are ignored in universal mode. |
