...of course there is the interop way, but I'd prefer not to have to...

Made a ticket for myself to remember to unfuck this repository asap. Will go through issues and prs within the next week.

Thanks :) I'm happy to write a PR for this if you want. I'm thinking of just a :delete-on-exit true arg to the existing fns.
