Hm yeah, this should probably be addressed.

As a workaround, you can install the packet with:
abroot pkg add fonts-khmeros
abroot pkg apply
then reboot

Not to worry i don't really want to mess up my immutable structure.
I will keep following this issue until it addressed.

Thank you.

May I ask what browsers you are using and how you installed it?

I install brave on flatpak format i install it from gnome software with clicking on install button.
I can confirm that this problem is not the brave it sell. All app is effected like. Telegram, chrome, steam etc. I'm not sure is it relate to the flatpak runtime or not.

Hm, this only happens in flatpak apps but also only on Orchid. Kinetic flatpak apps work just fine.
No idea why so far.

I test with debian 12 bookworm and it effect the same problem. i think the issue is pointing out to flatpak not the distribution. If you install software with native package manager without flatpak sandbox it will display the font normally.

Update
Application install inside subsystem container also effect the same problem. It maybe something else really deep than flatpak runtime itself.

I see, seems to be a debian issue then (Because it works inside of flatpaks on fedora) and probably needs to be fixed on their side.

It would be nice to have some workaround tho.
