currently I I can not get macOS to recognize any input from the dial. I recieve4 haptic feedback but no input action within macOS when turning dial or clicking dial in either mode any ideas

Hi, don't mean to hijack this thread, I'm considering spending ~$100 on a surface dial to help relieve quite a bit of strain I'm feeling from scrolling with mouse wheels, and would be happy to hear from anyone who'd be able to share their experience as to whether the software in this repository is likely to enable usage of the surface dial on an Apple silicon chip running Sonoma 14.2.1.

If this driver no longer works, Magic Mouse or even better Magic Trackpad momentum scrolling with the scrolling speed turned up to the max in Mouse/Trackpad prefs and Accessibility prefs is 1000% superior to scrolling with a mouse wheel, esp. if the mouse wheel doesn't rotate freely with momentum.
