As of archesproject/arches#10807 a developer can now significantly customize Search in both UI and UX, along with adding multiple different Search UX's living side-by-side in an Arches project. Besides the mechanics of individual kinds of search-filters, there needs to be guidance and maybe even suggestions on what can be done with this enhanced customizability
