Design and place a visible donation button/link on the front page

We have a donation button at https://backdropcms.org/contribute.
Proposal is to design a new suitable donation graphic on the front page as well or instead for better visibility.
Perhaps integrate this (later?) with a process to allow users to have a badge or something that shows that they have donated.
