Steps to reproduce

  1. pick a room
  2. scroll up many pages through scrollback (eg 10+)
  3. reply to an old msg without scrolling down
  4. timeline autoscrolls to the bottom on hitting send on the reply…
  5. …but can overshoot by half a page or so, leaving a big dirty gap:

Outcome

What did you expect?

no timeline scroll gaps

What happened instead?

looks like there might be a rounding error in calculating the right offset, or incorrectly leaving twice as much room fkr the keyboard, or something
