There's a screenshot on this page that is unnecessarily political.

Not only that, but one of the fake contacts is Ernesto Guevara (Che Guevara), a known homophobic, racist and killer.

So I'm sure it's in Flathub's best interest not to be associated with such character.

It might make sense to use a different app as an example.

I imagine that screenshot was done in a VM and setting it all up is probably taking quiet some time. So using something easier to create this would be a good idea.

Let's assume for a moment the screenshot wasn't that political. I don't see what was wrong with the current GNOME Contacts screenshot, since it showcased the idea wonderfully while not being cringe. Hell, even generating some faces and names using AI would've been a better option (and would probably require less effort and there are a lot of online generators out there).

@bertob I am sure you're some kind of leftist, and I like that, but this is really tasteless in the context of an official documentation. You can be a baby leftie in your Reddit/Twi- err, X circles, but this isn't the best place to do political activism. This is off-putting for most people, no matter their political affiliation, and it's irrelevant to the surrounding context. Please consider redoing the screenshot (or reusing GNOME Contacts' screenshot). Thank you.

they are out of date unfortunatly and would therefore break the guideline for up to date

Of course a page titled "Revolutionary Left Radio" is going to try to defend him.

And while I'd certainly amuse myself reading their many mental gymnastics attempts, I couldn't find a text version of this episode, and I'm definitely not listening it for 2 hours.

However, Guevaras's role in helping create the Unidades Militares de Ayuda a la Producción (UMAP) is undeniable.

Now, I'm not saying the usage of his name and photo was intentional, nor do I think that the person who made those condones Che's actions, but to prevent such questions from popping up, we should try to remain neutral and not include obvious political content in the documentation page whatsoever.

Likewise, I'm sure most people wouldn't like seeing the picture and name of Pinochet in the documentation, right?

But for some similarly crazy people (but on the other political side), he's also a hero.

I don't think we need to discuss the politics of it.

I think changing the screenshot is reasonable whenever somebody has the time to do it. PR's welcomed too.
