thunderbird-gnome should work with the current release of thunderbird

+1, but I'm not sure this project is still active ?https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/thunderbird/addon/adwaita-thunderbird/ is compatible only with the thunderbird 14.* max :/

It's a pity because the firefox Gnome Theme and Gnome Theme Tweak are really great. It should be nice to have the same for thunderbird. with the Htitle extension firefox seems to be a gnome app ;).

+1 for an update. I'm really satisfied with firefox Gnome Theme and would like to have te same look and feel for thunderbird.

Even though this problem is marked as "Closed", I'd like to re-open it as it's still present.

Error I get when I try to install thunderbird-gnome:
"Adwaita-Thunderbird could not be installed because it is not compatible with Icedove 31.0"

@AdnanHodzic, it isn't true. %)

@seleznev I think the problem may lay in fact that I use Icedove. I also tried upgrading to 32, but I end up with same error.

well, the addons page says only compatible until 14.
would also really appreciate and update, to make thunderbird look more gnome-y.
the gnome firefox extensions are awesome!

Unfortunately, this isn't an issue of versions -- if you bypass compatibility check with Thunderbird 32 and install it anyway, it looks wrong, like it was made for earlier versions of Thunderbird and GNOME.
