Missing macOS support: xbstrap requires GNU patch #44

So patch --merge doesn't work on macOS, and so xbstrap breaks.

Why are we even using patch --merge?

If there's a solid reason, I think it's reasonable to decide whether we're targetting GNU coreutils or POSIX patch, they do differ, since POSIX patch differs from older patch implementations, too.

getting patch from homebrew solved the issue BTW. --merge is not part of the POSIX spec

Is there need for --merge, considering these are automatic patches?
