We upgraded from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04 for all released base images. The change started from ray 2.33. We are no longer releasing ray images that use Ubuntu 20.04 as bases.

If you need ray to work on Ubuntu 20.04, you can also always build one by yourself with pip install ray.

Hey, may I ask if the minimum required glibc version will change?

the minimum required glibc version

Not sure what exactly this question means, but likely the answer is no.

We are still building the ray wheels with the same manylinux2014 environment. The change here is related to the rayproject/ray container images only.
