Can anyone help me with the code to use \endnotes with symbols please. It doesn't appear to integrate with the footmisc package. The Latex Companion shows something similar can be done by \renewcommand\theendnote but I can't figure out the syntax for symbols. \renewcommand\theendnote{\fnsymbol{endnote}} gives me a fatal error whereas \renewcommand\theendnote{\alph{endnote}} works as I expect
