Instead of fully changing the color to green for insert or blue for normal mode the shell produces the following artifacts. Tried using different terminals (Kitty and alacritty) and different Nerd fonts but the issue persisted.

@DenisBobrovskiy I'm having some problem to reproduce your issue. May I ask some information of your terminal environment? Like OS, OS version, terminal version.

@simnalamburt Yes, of course.

My terminal is kitty 0.17.4. I had the same issue with alacritty (0.4.2). I also tried gnome-terminal(3.36.2) same problem.
My fish shell version is 3.1.2
I use omf version 7 to install shellder
I used to run more or less the same setup on ubuntu previously and shellder didn't have any artifacts.

I see. Looks like I need to setup a Linux X11 environment to reproduce this problem. I think it'll take some time.

I am having the same problem, don't think it's a X11 related. Running sway on wayland.

kitty 0.18.3
fish 3.1.2
sway 1.5

Does this only happen in the shellder, or can it be reproduced with other shell themes too?

Cannot reproduce with oh-my-fish/theme-bobthefish
