Hi @smith-kyle, thanks for this usefull project.

Maybe I didn't notice how to do it but it would be great to allow to stop background task like we do in web workers, eg:
asyncModule.terminate()

What do you think about?

that would be super useful. Not sure how it would work. I'll look into it
