As of expt 0.4.0, local and gcloud (gs://) files are supported in expt's data loader. The backend is mainly through tf.io.gfile.

It would be good to add more support for cloud storage and remote files.

Candidate utilities here are cloudpathlib, pathy, rclone, etc.
