We are using Easybuild to manage our scientific software. To help us deploy consistent and repeatable software we rely on git tags and the ability to download a tagged version.
The current master head of wham points to 1.7.0, but you have a tag for 1.8.0 which seems to be the newest version, but it does not contain whamg.

  • can you tag the latest version of wham that builds
  • Can you remove the dependency on git from the Makefile? If we download a tagged version, it will not contain the .git tree.
  • thanks

  1. Yes.
  2. Point taken, I will think of a conditional that will fix this.
  3. Thank you for the bug report.
