This feature is currently in beta testing and is only available for select institutions. If you want to work with this, please contact us.

This feature allows users to upload data management and sharing plans (DMSPs) to the application. Uploading a plan assigns it a unique DMP-ID and allows tracking of research outputs associated with the work described in the plan.

Instructions

  1. Upload a PDF version of the plan. The file can be up to 1MB in size. Upload PDF version of the plan

  2. Add Project Details: If grant information is provided, the application will automatically populate basic details like the grant title, funding organization, and dates. Add project details Connect the funder to the project

  3. Add Research Outputs (optional): Describe any research outputs generated from this project, such as publications, datasets, software, etc. This helps demonstrate research impact and is often required by funders. Adding outputs also helps administrators with resource planning and allocation.

  4. Set plan visibility: There are two options for visibility. Private: The full plan narrative will only be viewable by creators, collaborators, and DMP Tool administrators. Public: The full plan will be openly available to anyone via the plan's landing page (e.g., https://dmphub.cdlib.org/dmps/doi:10.48321/D17598).
