Plone hosting with ZEO in one system account.

Initialization
==============

The buildout bootstrap needs to be done using the ``init.cfg``, mainly
because there is not ``buildout.cfg``:

.. code-block:: sh
   $ python2.6 bootstrap.py -c init.cfg

Then buildout is run using the same configuration file, but specifying
the purpose of the buildout (development, testing or production),
e.g.: for a development buildout:

.. code-block:: sh
   $ bin/buildout -c init.cfg install development

development
    Same Zope/Plone add-ons as in production, plus some to facilitate
    troubleshooting, debugging, etc. Also, debugging is enabled by
    default.

testing
    Same configuration as production, but with recording of picked
    versions enabled.

production
    Only eggs needed for production, plus configuration for the final
    deployment.

In the initialization invocation of buildout options can be passed as
variable assignments in the ``options`` part, e.g.:
``options:foo=bar``.

The recognized variables are:

instances
    The number of instances to create. If not specified, the number of
    cores available in the system is taken.

admin_user
    Name of the user account created initially by Zope for
    administration.

pwd_length
    Length of admin password if greater than 32 (which is set to be
    the minimum length).

base_port
    Number from where all the port numbers will be offset.

Example: to have the initial admin account to be named ``vork``:

   $ bin/buildout -c init.cfg options:admin_user=vork install development

Building
========

Plone 3 excerpt
---------------

For Plone 3, besides using python2.4, the first buildout command to
issue right after the initialization is:

.. code-block: sh
   $ bin/buildout -N install zope2

To force buildout to create the fake-eggs. Chaos and confussion ensues
otherwise.

After running the initialization phase, you will have a
``buildout.cfg`` so you can run buildout:

.. code-block:: sh
   $ bin/buildout

This will get the hosting ready, and it can be started with:

.. code-block:: sh
   $ bin/supervisord
