This is a simple command-set and key-mapping for opening github project in your browser, with (or without) desired commit-id

All you need to do is to define projects list and key-maps in your vimrc.
for example:

let g:github_projects = {
	\ 'torvalds/linux' : {
		\ 'info' : '<F4>L',
		\ 'commit' : '<F4>l'
	\ },
	\ 'Valloric/YouCompleteMe' : {
		\ 'info' : '<F4>Y',
		\ 'commit' : '<F4>y'
	\ },
\ }

to enable menu items for your projects :

let g:github_menu = 1
